Is Proposing in the Villas of Lake Como Worth It?

Well,

first of all from my point of view they are the most romantic and magical places that are here in Lake Como, especially in the center of the lake such as:

- Villa del Balbianello in Loppia

- Villa Melzi in Bellagio

- Villa Monastero in Varenna

- Villa Cipressi in Varenna

- Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo

but they are also the most crowded places that are in Lake Como.

So, is it worth it to have a photo shoot inside these fantastic gardens?

Know that all these places ask for an extra payment to do the photo shoots, you can see on this page their prices updated to 2025 (always to be confirmed with the managers of the Villa).

From my point of view it is worth it in some cases .. for example:

Do you want to propose in the place where Anakin kisses Padmé in StarWars?

Here that terrace is located in Villa del Balbianello and there are really crowded moments in that corner with queues to be able to immortalize yourself in the most romantic place of your favorite movie.

To be able to propose on that terrace you should do one of these two ways:

Enter as "Vacation Cover" in the Villa so during the journey we stop at the point and take the photo of the proposal or synchronize and you ask me for a photo as "Friendly Tourist" with your smartphone. Obviously you can't take a photo secretly because there will be a lot of people.. there are always a lot of people.

But in my opinion, in recent years so many people enter that it is no longer like before. Some places are very crowded and it becomes impossible to propose where you initially wanted.

Or rent the entire Villa for 1 hour, some in their price list offer it, but the prices are higher and start from around €2000.

So is it worth it to propose in a Villa on Lake Como?
